Nasarawa police arrest 2 men for allegedly assaulting woman

 

The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the physical assault of a teenager in a video that went viral on social media.

The command said on Saturday that the vehicle used in the assault was also recovered and that other suspects involved in the assault had fled. This was confirmed by a Twitter police account.

“Following her viral tweet regarding the attack on her teenage girl in Rafia, Nasarawa, Command immediately began investigating the matter. It is encouraging that two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident and the vehicle used to transport the victims to an unknown location where the attack took place has been recovered. Efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining suspects on the run," they tweeted.
